| Janiss Garza's Diary of Sweat, Hardbodies and Energy Drinks |
Three days of muscle men, energy drinks and exercise — it must be the Fit Expo! Our editor-in-chief
Janiss Garza had so much fun last year that she was happy to head down to Pasadena, California once
again to cover the event. She was smarter this time around, however — she ate before showing up at
the Expo instead of subsisting on protein bar samples. It's a good thing she paid attention to
nutrition, since she had a whole lot of working out to do! That's the good side of the Fit Expo —
the chance to try out new exercise classes. The downside? There was just too much good stuff, and
often some really great events overlapped. For example, Janiss adores
Patrick Goudeau's aerobic dance routines,
but she never got the chance to try out his latest ABC workout. (Never fear - she walked away
from the Expo with a couple of his DVDs to review for the site!) And she never seemed to be in the
right place at the right time for one of Dr. Del Miller's "10-minute Meal" demonstrations.
(If you recall last year, Dr. Miller's demonstration and lecture was
one of her favorite events.) But there were lots of new workouts to try, new products to check out
and, yes, new protein bars to taste. So without further pontification, let's move onto Janiss's
3-day Fix Expo diary!
