Tamilee Webb: I Want Those Arms!

What is it?
Two 15-minute resistance-training workouts that focus on the arms and shoulders. Tamilee Webb is the instructor.
Who is it for?
Advanced beginning to intermediate exercisers. You will need 3 to 10 pound weights.
What to expect:
It is possible to fit a good arm and shoulder workout into just 15 minutes - fitness expert Tamilee Webb has done just that in this video. In fact, she's done it twice. Webb actually had these moves scientifically tested for effectiveness, and guess what? Quite a few of these exercises will be very familiar to you. But there's a reason that biceps curls, presses and triceps kickbacks are so popular - they work. You'll also find a few exercises you may not have seen before, of course - a one-armed triceps pushup, for example. Webb runs you through these exercises at a quick pace - three sets for the first workout, and two for the second, slightly more challenging workout - and there's no down time. The good part about that is that you really fatigue the muscles. The bad part is that you don't have time to really learn the moves, so you may want to rewind the first couple of times to really watch Webb's form. And form is important to get results. These moves must be done by really working the muscle, not by momentum, to be truly effective. You must also use a weight that offers you a challenge. If your muscles aren't fatigued after one of these workouts, you need to use a heavier set of dumbbells. (You can also use different weights for different exercises - just make sure the dumbbells are set out so that you can grab them quickly.) Done properly and regularly, these two workouts will build shapely, toned arms and shoulders. One thing to keep in mind - these exercises do not work your chest or back, so they're not complete upper-body workouts. If you want to do your whole upper body in one workout, spend another 10 or 15 minutes before the video doing some chest and/ or back moves. Or you can do chest or back exercises on another day.
